Clean windows easily with McLean Window Cleaning set

20.03.2018 / 0 comments

McLean-Professional Window cleaning set makes cleaning of windows and other glass surfaces easy, but efficient. The set consists of 2 professional grade microfibre cloths: blue cloth for washing / cleaning and yellow cloth for drying / polishing.

Spray the windows and frame with clean water. For heavy dirt, use a little bit of neutral cleaning solution. It is best to avoid chemicals as they leave a layer on the windows, which will be hard to remove later and actually attracts dirt, just like a sticker.

First, use the BLUE dry or damp cloth to clean the windows. Start from the top left and finish at the bottom right corner. This way the dirt does not flow to the clean areas. It is recommended to use the folding instructions of microfibre cloths, in order to use the cloth most efficiently.

After that, use the same blue cloth to clean the window frame.

Use the YELLOW cloth to dry and polish the windows.

McLean is an Estonian brand owned by Prime Partner AS. We offer efficient cleaning equipment under the McLean brand. The microfibre McLean Professional cleaning cloths have been recognised by the Estonian Allergy Federation. Thanks to the special texture of microfibre, surfaces can be cleaned without cleaning agents; slightly moistening the cloth with water is sufficient. As no chemicals are required for cleaning with a microfibre cloth, it is ideal for families and people with allergies or asthma as well as consumers who have sensitive skin. Microfibre is suitable for all surfaces: glass, metal, wood, ceramic and laminated surfaces, and more. To avoid carrying dirt from one room to another, we recommend using cleaning cloths of different colours in different rooms: blue in the living room, green in the kitchen, yellow in the bathroom and red in the toilet. There is also a glass cloth suitable for cleaning glass surfaces and mirrors. In addition there is also an innovative microfiber technical cloth for all the electronic equipment.

What is microfibre like as a material? "McLean microfibre" is a combination of microscopic fibres made of polyamide (nylon) and polyester. The fibres in turn are made up of even smaller microfibres. This means that 1 gram of cloth contains approximately 100,000 metres of fibre, which gives it an extraordinary cleaning and absorption capacity. The super-lean fibre woven into the "McLean microfibre" cleaning cloth forms wedge-like shapes  that get under the dirt when you use the cloth, and draw the dirt in. Microfibre has a static charge so it attracts dirt, dust and allergens. The microfibres break up the surface tension of water, so cleaning just with water yields great results.

Why use the "Mclean" microfibre-based cleaning cloths?

  • Great for cleaning floors, ceilings, cooking surfaces, sinks, bathtubs and walls of grease, fingerprints and liquids.
  • A microfibre cloth does not require chemicals to clean surfaces, making your cleaning eco-friendly.
  • The cloths can be used dry or moistened with a little bit of water.
  • The cleanliness goes up and the number of chemicals you use to clean your home goes down.
  • Helps reduce risk of allergies.
  • Leaves no residue or water traces.
  • Does not scratch surfaces.
  • Lower expenses (worktime, cleaning equipment, water, chemicals).
  • The McLean Professional microfibre cloths can be machine washed up to 500 times.
  • Easy and handy.

Recommendations for house cleaning:

  • The best way to remove dust is by using a dry or almost dry microfibre cloth.
  • When cleaning, move from top to bottom, from cleaner surfaces to dirtier. This way you collect the dirt and don't transfer it to the clean surface.
  • Touch surfaces are the dirtiest (door handles, TV remote control, toilet knobs, phone, switches, cupboard doors, etc.). These need cleaning often.
  • Avoid soaking the microfibre cloth too much, as water will fill up the gaps between the fibres and there will be no room left for dirt, i.e. a wet cloth spreads dirt on the surface instead of collecting it.
  • You need clean equipment to clean surfaces. Maintain your microfibre cloth properly and it will last long.
  • Fold the cloth and turn it after cleaning every touch surface. This will allow you to use the cloth with maximum efficiency and help avoid cross-contamination, i.e. the carrying over of dirt from one surface to another. (See also the folding directions for a microfibre cloth).
  • Divide cleaning tasks between family members.

Microfibre cloth folding instructions

Each room should have its own cleaning cloth:

one for cleaning the living room, one for the kitchen, one for the bathroom, one for the toilet bowl, separate ones for glass surfaces, mirrors.

Keep in mind when maintaining your "McLean" microfibre cloth:

  • Before washing, clean the cloth of loose dirt.
  • Bleaching agents damage the microfiber; avoid detergents with bleachers.
  • Microfibre cloths have a static charge; avoid rinsing agents.
  • Detergents containing zeolite should be avoided; washing gel can be used.
  • It is not recommended to use a detergent that contains soap.
  • A microfibre cloth can be effectively cleaned by washing it in a washing machine at 90°, as this will remove the dirt from between the fibres.
  • Microfibre products should be washed separately or in a laundry bag, as textiles of cotton and other fibres can damage the properties of microfibre.
  • When washing microfibre cleaning cloths, it is recommended to use 50% of the amount of cleaning agent shown on the package, as this will ensure that no residue of the cleaning agent will remain in the cloth.
  • Tumble-drying is suitable for microfibre cloths, as it will open up the channels between the microfibres.
  • McLean microfibre clothes can endure up to 500 machine washes and you can get the most out of your cloth by observing the maintenance instructions.
